Welcoming 2012 sans resolutions

by Becca on January 1, 2012

I wasn’t going to do resolutions this year—the whole notion just seems over-commericalized and cliche by now. My career is chugging along at a pretty good clip, so it’s time to focus a bit more inwardly. I plan to devote some of my 2012 energies to living a better, more fulfilling, connected, intentional life. Add to that a few more tangible things I want to accomplish, and I hope to challenge myself and grow through the year.

One of my Christmas presents was The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are by Brené Brown, “a guide to a wholehearted life.” As I begin this new year, it’s with the desire to step out of my self-imposed shell. To speak and own my dreams, then do something about them. Ready, set, GO!

Good for you! And you know there are many of us out here who call you friend that will be very interested to hear those dreams and support you as you pursue them. Happy 2012!
